A87) The Four Beasts of Daniel Chapter 7 Today and the End Times Symbolism. The Dominance of Great Britain, (the Lion), followed by Russia and the Soviet Union, (the Bear), the USA, (the Leopard), then the emergence of the One World Government of Rev Ch 13, (S. Dobbs, 1992).
Summary: As the 4th Beast in Dan Ch 7 is thought to symbolise both the Roman Empire historically as well as the One World Government of Rev Ch 13 in the end times - so the previous three empires in Daniel 7 also have a double symbolism. The Lion represent Great Britain, the Bear Russia/the Soviet Union and the Leopard the USA in the end times.
Introduction: I received this by revelation way back in the summer of 1992. It stood out as I was reading this scripture in the bible. As it was new to me and all came in an instant, without me trying to work out its meaning, it definitely wasn’t a product of my natural thinking. You have to decide, therefore, if you think it was from the Holy Spirit or was a false revelation from a spirit of deception. I didn’t record it at the time and didn’t have access to the internet back then. I was thinking about it again recently, though, and decided I should include it on the site as it may have more relevance than I at first thought. As I have not seen anything on this before, and people are likely to be sceptical, I have added my own notes and observations after each of the first three beasts to provide a rational and justification for them so these aren’t rejected automatically without being given due consideration. The revelation was that the three beasts that preceed the fourth beast, in a modern context, were the British Empire, followed by the Russian Empire, (the Soviet Union), and then the USA, after which arises the fourth beast which is also the end times Rev Ch 13 beast. I have added extensive notes to justify that as it at first seems such an unusual concept.
The following prediction of Daniel proved so accurate that many claim it must have been faked after these empires rose to power. However, both the Jewish record and the accounts of these foreign Empires reveal that the Jews shared Daniels revelation with these new Empires that ruled over Israel much to the surprise and pleasure of the Emperors. It is recorded that Alexander the Great, ruler of the Greek Empire, for example, was shown the prediction that he would come to power, suggesting this was according to God providence and will, and as a result he showed favour to the Jewish people.
Daniel Chapter 7, verses 1 – 8, (KJV):
“In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
This verse may be worth considering too although it wasn’t part of the revelation:
8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things… (KJV).
The most common traditional, historical understanding of Daniels vision of four symbolic beast mages is that they represent a succession of four globally dominant empires centred in the biblical lands of the Middle East. The first, the Lion was most often viewed as the Babylonian Empire, the Bear the Persian Empire, the Leopard the Greek Empire and the final beast with iron teeth that smashed everything in pieces, the Roman Empire. Most believe that the last beast is a double prediction which also symbolises the end time’s Beast Empire which Rev Ch 13 describes as a One World Government which will receive authority to rule for the last 3.5 years of this age. Verse 7 “and it had ten horns” matches Rev Ch 13; 1 claim that this Empire had “ten horns.” Verse 8 leads into what many believe to be a description of the end time’s antichrist leader with further details on the last Empire that he will rule at the end of this age. Several of Daniels vision have a similar double prediction, starting with the rise of O/T Empires but then leading into the fourth Empire which is also a description of the Rev Ch 13 Empire in the very last days. Some refer to this as the Revived Roman Empire. The revelation I received extended the double prediction to include the entire sequence of four empires not just the fourth one. Since characteristics of all four empires exist in the description of the Beast Empire in Rev Ch 13 I would argue it makes sense that the double prediction in Daniel includes all four beasts not just the fourth. Rev 13; 2 states, “the Beast which I saw was like unto a Leopard…” (i.e. the third beast in Daniels vision), “and his feet were as the feet of a bear…” (i.e. the second beast in Daniels vision), “and his mouth as the mouth of a lion,” (i.e. the first beast in Daniels vision). This would suggest to me that all these beast will be incorporated into the final Empire at the end of this age and carry authority within it. So the revelation I believe I received from the Holy Spirit in 1992 is, therefore, going to have far more relevance than I at first realised because it will identify some of the nations and Empires in our time that will be included in the final Beast Empire, as well as explain some of the characteristics of this final evil Empire.
The 1992 Prophetic Revelation I received in 1992:
Although I’ve done quite a long study here the prophetic revelation itself is really very short, i.e. I understood that in regards to the modern era the Lion symbolised the British Empire, the Bear the Russian Empire/Soviet Union and the Leopard the USA and its pseudo empire. [Mark Aldridge also received a word, (without me ever having shared mine with him), in around about 2008, that the Leopard symbolised the USA]. That is the sum of the revelation I had. However, because it doesn’t seem to mean much on its own and doesn’t even appear likely to be true, I will look next at each of these three beasts in more detail, to argue the case, as the significance of them then becomes apparent.
The Lion, with two eagle’s wings on its back, symbolised the British Empire. This came as a bit of a shock and appeared somewhat unbelievable at the time but now makes more sense.
[All the notes in brackets are just my own guessology, not something that came as part of these revelations. My human argument to help justify the above, would be that the Lion was often used as a symbol by the British Empire in regards to Britain. Our Football team even still calls itself the Three Lions for example and Three Lions are often used everywhere in British pageantry. A lion also denotes royalty and the British Empire started out as the last great globally dominant Empire to rule as a monarchy. The wings on its back may perhaps symbolise that there was something of a spiritual nature about this empire, (with it having the potential to fly in the spiritual sky above not just operate carnally on the earth below). I would argue that perhaps that symbolised the fact that despite all the harm the British Empire has done in the carnal realm it did also send missionaries out to spread the gospel to many other nations as well. The Babylonians, the first symbolism associated with the Lion, were known as “the traders” which very much describes the nature of the British nation as well, famous for its trading by sea. The worst most sinful trade undertaken was the African slave trade. However, in this scripture the Lion is then made to stand on its feet like a man and a man’s heart was given to it. This suggests to me humanitarianism, so it became, in some regards, a more humanitarian Empire than those before it in this regards. It was the British Empire that first banned the slave trade, and sued the Royal Navy to police the seas and enforce this on other empires as well, which was a clearly a humanitarian act, acting in its later years as an Empire with the heart of a man. This was probably in no small way due to the prayers and campaigning of many British Christians and previously enslaved people, most significantly William Wilberforce, who was encouraged to pursue this course by William Pitt the Younger the Prime Minister of the day. The Great British awakening or revival preceded this, from 1738 to 1791, in which the evangelist John Wesley and others had such an positive Christian impact on the morals of the nation and Empire which may have paved the way for the end of the African Slave trade. This may not have been sufficient, took a long time to work out in practice, and didn’t include any amends to the previously enslaved people but in terms of Empire represented quite an extreme change of heart that reflects events in the British Empire even more than those in the ancient Babylonian Empire. Perhaps Nebuchadnezzar turning from his self-idolatry to accepting and honouring the Jewish God as the true ruler of both heaven and earth represented the Lion receiving the heart of a man in his day? Surely the British Empire fits this symbolism even more closely though. In 1789 Wilberforce gave a three hour speech against slavery in Parliament. In 1791 he presented his Bill to abolish slavery with the support of P.M Pitt. Although there was great opposition and this was not passed until after a debate lasting ten hours, the House of Commons agreed to the second reading of the bill to abolish the Atlantic slave trade by an overwhelming 283 votes four to 16. The Bill received Royal Assent on 25 March 1807. The Act took effect on 1 May 1807. This was surely an Empire acting in a humanitarian way, with the heart of a man, instead of being purely motivated, as it previously had been, by power and profit, at least in regards to the African slave trade? These are just my thoughts, though not part of the revelation I am suggesting came from God].
I understood that the second beast, the bear represented the Russian Empire, i.e. the Soviet Union.
[Notes; my thoughts on this: The Russian Bear is often a term used to describe Russia. Its global dominance was arguably short lived compared to the other Empires but so historically was Persia’s, relative to the other Empires, (the bear symbolising the Persian Empire historically). I think most people would agree that the British Empire remained the most powerful empire in the world up until the Second World War, after which it never regained its global dominance. The growing power of Russia was kept a secret by Stalin who managed to fool Hitler into underestimating hiss forces. The power of the Russian bear only became evident when Stalin released the full might of the Soviet Union against the German army once that had fully extended itself by advancing all the way to the gates of Moscow, (the same tactic that Russia had used to defeat Napoleon before this). The Russia Bear could therefore have been the most dominant Empire in the world for about ten years or more before other nations were aware of this. The power of the British Empire never exceeded that of the Soviet Union after that. It was the Soviet Union, the Russian Bear, that really defeated Germany in WW2, loosing many times more troops in the process than all the western armies put together. The way in which the Soviet Union crushed the German forces and invaded and held Eastern Europe as part of its Empire thereafter parallels Daniels symbolism in verse 5, “Arise, devour much flesh.” Again, I would argue that this double symbolism appears even more relevant to the later Russian Empire than to the historic symbolism for the previous Persian Empire. It is hard to tell when the USA superseded the Soviet Union as the most powerful Empire after that. The US were the first to get nuclear weapons but Russia followed soon after and then beat the US in the race into space, suggesting its rocket technology had surpassed that of the USA in reliability by then. The USA appeared superior quite early on but it was in partnership with other wealthy and powerful Western European nation within NATO. Whatever the case concerning the length of Russian dominance I would argue that there was at least a brief period of time when the Russian Bear and its Empire, the Soviet Union, was the most powerful Empire on earth and this followed the decline of the British Empire. So in this double symbolism the Bear once again followed the Lion, as was the case in the previous symbolism as the Persian Bear followed the rule of the Babylonian Lion].
The third Empire, the Leopard with four wings on its back, symbolised the USA in this revelation.
[Greece, the traditional Empire relating to the Leopard symbolism, was the first nation to adopt a form of democracy, the USA is the most powerful democratic nation today and often regarded as the defender of democracy, (although since the rigging of the 2020 election this may not be the case anymore). After the death of Alexander the Great the Greek Empire was split into four separate empires each ruled by a different Greek General. There are indications that some globalist’s and Luciferians want to divide the USA into four separate nation/regional states to help integrate it into a One World Government in the future, here’s a prophecy someone had regarding this, C67 link. Mark Aldridge also had word that stated the USA was symbolised by the Leopard in this scripture, which he received independently from me, in the early 2000’s].
The relevance of the three previous beast to us today: If Daniels fourth beast symbolises both the Roman Empire in the past and the coming beast empire of Rev Ch 13, (the coming One World Government), then surely it makes sense that the first three beasts also have a double symbolism? If that is the case then God will be revealing this to His body before the end comes. The latter interpretation of those three beasts should tell us much about the nature and appearance of the final fourth end time’s beast.
Rev 13; 2: And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
We can see above that aspects of the first three beasts in Daniel 7 all appear as part of the final Rev Ch 13 end time’s beast empire, which many scholars believe to also equates with the fourth beast in Daniel, (whose first interpretation was the Roman Empire and second is the Rev 13 One World Government in the end times). The Rev Ch 13 beast has a body like that of a Leopard, its feet are of a bear, and mouth is that of a Lion. Whilst the historic interpretation of these three beast being the Babylonian, Persian and Greek Empires may shed some light on the nature of the Beast in Rev 13 a more modern interpretation of them being the British, Russian and US empires should, if correct, be far more revealing. As the ancient empires of Babylon, Persia and Greece explain the construction of the ancient Roman Empire that followed them, surely we really need to know the modern symbolism for each of the first three beasts in order to understand the modern symbolism of the fourth beast being the final Rev Ch 13 Empire in the end times? That is the information I believe God was giving us in this revelation.
So the end times antichrists empire will appear like a Leopard, i.e. according to this revelation like the USA, its feet will be that of a bear, i.e. it will move like the Soviet Union, and its mouth will be like that of a Lion, i.e. it will sound and express itself as the British Empire did. This brings the symbolism into the modern world in which we now live. We are then no longer looking for an old fashioned styled empire to emerge but for one that will come from the reality around us today in the C21st. So the symbolism of the previous British Empire, Soviet Union and now the USA would appear to make far more sense. Without a second modern symbolism we would be left looking for the same three ancient empires to become dominant in our present age again, i.e. Babylon, (Iraq?), Persia, (Iran), and Greece, (modern Greece today), none of which show any signs of becoming globally dominant in that ascending order in our world today. This would also mean the end times couldn’t be here in our time which I believe they are. So the three modern empires that precede the Rev 13 beast being the British Empire, then Soviet Union and then the USA appears, in hindsight, to make far more sense to me. [I’m trying to rationally justify the revelation I believe I had here, because without contemplation it appears unlikely simply because it is new and not something we are accustomed to thinking].
Dan 7; 12 also suggests that these first three beasts will continue into the new millennial reign of Christ, after Christ has returned and destroyed the fourth end times beast. This would mean that the British, Russia and US empires will still exist into Christ’s 1000 year reign on this earth, although having lost their previous authority, (Rev 19; 20). These three have been dominant empires in the modern world in the era leading up to the end times, whereas the ancient Kingdoms of Babylon, Persia and Greece don’t fit very well at all. [As there’s so little teaching on eschatology these days many Christians don’t realise that the traditional teaching is, that is a direct reading of Revelations, is that Jesus will return to rule this earth for a 1000 years before the final judgement day and a new heaven and new earth are created]. So the three beasts, therefore, exist in the season before the final fourth beast appears, their characteristics are reflected in the fourth beast, (the Rev 13 beast), suggesting they combine forces to form the fourth beast, so they continue to exist after the fourth beast appears, and they continue after the fourth beast ceases to, (although without their previous authority), i.e. after the fourth beast is destroyed at the return of Christ. The relevance of a modern interpretation is, therefore, huge. I would, therefore, argue that there has to be a modern symbolic interpretation for the first three beasts just as there is for the final fourth beast and that if we are presently entering the end times era then the USA is still the prevailing global power, the Soviet Union was for a brief period the most powerful empire on earth, (during WW2), and before that the dominant empire was the British Empire. So the historical sequence makes sense. [Please note the revelation came to me without me having gone through any process of analysis like this, it just came unexpectedly out of the blue].
Historically the fourth beast was the Roman Empire and the historic interpretation of the ancient Babylonian, Persian and Greek Empires explain a lot about the emergence and characteristics of the ancient Roman Empire. The second symbolic interpretation of the fourth beast also being the final Rev 13 beast surely suggests that we need to know the second modern era interpretation of the three previous beasts in order to understand the Rev 13 beast more clearly? What this revelation reveals that the end time’s beast empire, the One World Government of Rev Ch 13, appears with a body like the Leopard, i.e. like the USA, it has feet like a bear i.e. the Russian Empire/Soviet Union and has a mouth like that of the British Empire.
Something else we can glean from this is that there is no relevance to China in either the four empires in either the ancient or modern era’s. We can, therefore rule out this beast being China. Instead it is something that emerges from within, and is constructed from aspects of the USA, Russian and the previous British Empire, Russia’s Soviet Union and the USA, particularly the USA as its entire body is similar to the USA. I would suggest that the One World Government of the end times may appear as a US styled democracy, with its elected leaders voting as they do in the House of Representatives and Senate, (it’s interesting that the ancient Roman Empire, the traditional interpretation relating to the fourth beast, also had a Senate). It moves on its feet like a bear, i.e. it uses it might and power in the same authoritarian way as the Soviet Union did, both politically and militarily. And it speaks like the British Empire used to, which was sometimes arrogant and pompous, as if it had a royal and divine right to rule.
A latter word I believe I had, (that I received more than ten years after the 1992 one), stated that the Rev 13 beast empire will be a coalition of seven of the G8 nations, link A24. These were originally the UK, Russia and the USA, (the three nations already mentioned), along with Germany, France, Italy, (the three leading E.U nations), and Japan, (which since the 2nd WW has been in the pocket of the USA in international politics). I saw that he other G8 nation, Canada, will be excluded from having shared authority, (perhaps because it doesn’t have as much power political, economic or military influence in the world as the others do?).
Russia has since been expelled from the G8 but I believe it will be welcomed back in the near future, (perhaps after Putin is replaced by another leader). The inclusion of Russia again would assist the G8 in confronting and eventually subduing China. The combined power and present alliance between Russian and China could prove great enough to prevent the present G7 from being able to become a Global Government. With Russia invited back into the G8 its combined power should then be enough to subdue China.
Since Biden came to power in the US the present G7 appears to have become the decision making body that the he now turns to concerning foreign affairs and threats. Biden, for e.g. called for a meeting with the G7 when the US ran into trouble leaving Afghanistan. Furthermore, in 2021 all seven of these G7 nations agreed together to implement a digital currency and announced plans to move their respective nations towards a cashless society and a Chinese style social credit system, vid link,*(the very thing the oligarchs World Economic Forum had called for in annual meetings a few months earlier in April 2021. This clearly also has relevance to the emergence of the mark of the beast in Rev 13; 17, 18. This would also suggest that the USA is indeed the last dominant empire before the emergence of the Rev Ch 1 beast empire, the Global Government of the end times. And the empires before the USA were the Soviet Union and British Empire.
So what I believe to be the 1992 revelation that a second modern interpretation exists for three for the first three beasts of Daniel 7, i.e. of these being the British Empire, followed by the Soviet Union/Russia and then the USA appears to back up the latter prophecy I had that the Fourth Beast of Dan Ch 7 (the beast of Rev 13), consists of seven of the old G8 group of nations, i.e. Britain, Russia and the USA again, combined with France Germany and Italy along with Japan.
I hope these notes have given food for thought and not overcomplicated the issue. It proved harder to explain than I was expecting.
* I personally think the idea the the leaders of the G7 being satanic, (as suggested in the title of that video), is a red herring put about by the globalist themselves to undermine the credibility of watchmen who warn about the emerging One World Government.
